Denis Masi - Gymnasium 1978 – 1979

A free standing sculpture / construction with its own light and sound systems.

Graphite painted raised wood platform, three theatre profile spot lights no filters, fifty-five raku fired handmade ceramic bricks, one sheet of mirror and one kilo of crushed glass, chrome plated parallel bar 214 cm on two mild steel stove enamelled stands, one leather medicine ball, one 200 watt clear light bulb programmed on a fade pulsar, small tape recorder with built in speaker, tape loop with sounds similar to white noise, one stuffed rat with hood type of mask, atmosphere in immediate area of construction invested with the odour of talcum and chlorine.
